A Capri Guide Created by an Insider
Planning a Trip to Capri?
You've Probably Already Fallen Down the Research Rabbit Hole.
Capri is small — barely four square miles. You'd think that makes it simple. You'd be wrong. Because the island's size is exactly what makes the decisions feel so high-stakes. There's no room for error. One bad hotel choice and you're far from everything that matters. One wrong beach club and you've spent your afternoon at a crowded dock instead of lounging beneath the Faraglioni.
Planning a trip to Capri usually starts the same way — one quick search, a few saved posts, and suddenly you're overwhelmed. With so much conflicting advice on where to stay, where to eat, and what to do, it's easy to overthink a place that should feel effortless. And that's exactly where most plans fall apart.
This guide exists because Capri deserves better than that. And so does your trip.

From luxury properties to boutique picks for every budget. Starred hotels can be booked through me with perks such as upgrades, breakfast, and resort credits included.
Where to Eat for Every Occasion
Michelin-starred dinners, the iconic lemon tree terrace, sunset aperitivo with the best view on the island, the local trattoria nobody puts in travel guides, and the gelateria that ruins all other gelato forever.

What each is like with direct booking links — because showing up without a reservation doesn't work here.
Experiences Worth Every Cent
Private boat tours around the island. A pasta class on a terrace with the Gulf of Naples below you. The experiences that make Capri more than just a pretty view.

What the Guide Covers
The full island.
Nothing missed.
Capri is small, but it contains so much. A glamorous town, a quiet hilltop village, sea caves, cliff-top gardens, Michelin-starred beach clubs, and some of the most dramatic boat routes in the Mediterranean. Here's a taste of what's inside.
Capri Town
The glamorous heart of the island. Designer boutiques, the legendary Piazzetta, rooftop aperitivo, and the kind of golden-hour light that makes every moment feel cinematic.
Town CenterAnacapri
Quieter, more local, and generally more affordable. The chairlift to Monte Solaro. Villa San Michele's award-winning gardens. The Capri that existed before the world arrived.
Hilltop VillageBlue Grotto
A sea cave illuminated by an otherworldly blue glow from sunlight passing through an underwater cavity. The entrance is just one meter high — tiny boats only, at low tide.
Must-SeeThe Faraglioni
Three iconic sea stacks rising from the Tyrrhenian Sea. Every postcard. Every dream. Best experienced from a private boat passing through the arch of the middle rock.
Iconic ViewsMarina Piccola
Capri's most famous beach. La Fontelina and Da Luigi beach clubs. Sun loungers beneath the Faraglioni. The kind of afternoon that makes you want to stay another week.
Beach & ClubsMonte Solaro
The highest point on the island, reached in minutes by chairlift. A 360° panorama of the Gulf of Naples, Vesuvius, and the Gulf of Salerno. The view that earns the trip.
Panoramic ViewsPrivate Boat Days
The single best way to experience Capri. Hidden coves, the Green and White Grottoes, swimming in crystal-clear water beneath the cliffs. A full or half day on your own terms.
Top ExperienceGardens of Augustus
A botanical garden with sweeping views of Marina Piccola and the Faraglioni. The starting point for the famous Via Krupp — one of the most dramatic paths in all of Italy.
Gardens & CultureBefore You Buy
The questions worth answering first.
How do I receive the guide after purchase?
+Immediately. Once your purchase is confirmed, the PDF lands in your inbox. Open it on your phone, tablet, or laptop. Download once and it's yours forever.
When is the best time to visit?
+Late April through early June, and September through October. The weather is warm, the sea is swimmable, and the island hasn't hit its summer peak. July and August are beautiful but extremely crowded, especially during midday when the day-tripper ferries arrive. If you do go in peak season, the guide tells you exactly how to time your days so you're always ahead of the crowds.
Do I need to book beach clubs in advance?
+Yes — and earlier than you'd think. Walking up and asking for a sunbed at a top beach club on a summer Saturday simply doesn't work on Capri. The guide covers the best beach clubs and includes a direct link to book each one so this isn't something you figure out the hard way.
Is Capri walkable, or do I need to plan transportation?
+Both towns are very walkable for sightseeing and dining. But getting between them, reaching the port, and accessing the beaches involves buses, taxis, the funicular, and the Monte Solaro chairlift. The guide covers how to get around efficiently.
Is a day trip to Capri actually worth it?
+A day trip shows you the postcard version of Capri. Staying overnight is a completely different experience. By late afternoon the ferries take the crowds back to the mainland, and the island becomes something else entirely. The Piazzetta empties out. The light goes golden. You get the version of Capri most visitors never see. If you're going to make the trip, stay at least two nights.
What if the guide isn't right for me?
+If you go through this guide and don't feel meaningfully more prepared and excited for your Capri trip, reach out and I'll refund you in full — no hoops, no follow-up questions. I've spent years helping people plan trips they're still talking about. If this guide doesn't do that for you, you shouldn't pay for it.
